Evdokia(Greek:Ευδοκία)isoneofthemostimportantworksofGreekcinema.Evdokiaisadramaofpassionwhosemaincharactersareasergeantandaprostitutewhogetmarriedafterabriefpassionateidyll.Verysoon,however,theinfluenceoftheirenvironmentstrainstheirrelationship,andthemantriestobreakaway,butwithoutsuccess.Thepairaresurroundedbyharshlight,therock,thebarelandscapesandthemilitaryexercises,ontheonehand,sensualityandconstrictions,ontheother.Becauseofheroccupation,Evdokiabothattractsandrepelsthesergeant.Thepetitbourgeoisenvironment,thelumpenelements,thesocialfringesandpettyinterestsstifletheyoungcouple,whichappearstowanttorebel,butdoesn'tsucceed.
